Sunday.  Day 1 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Genesis 1.,2.

Genesis 1.,2.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The History of Creation. .                Genesis! \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

In the beginning ELOHIM created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. ELOHIM’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
3 ELOHIM said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 ELOHIM saw the light, and saw that it was good. ELOHIM divided the light from the darkness.
5 ELOHIM called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was evening and there was morning, one day.
6 ELOHIM said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
7 ELOHIM made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
8 ELOHIM called the expanse “sky.” There was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 ELOHIM said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so.
10 ELOHIM called the dry land “earth,” and the gathering together of the waters he called “seas.” ELOHIM saw that it was good.
11 ELOHIM said, “Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with its seed in it, on the earth;” and it was so.
12 The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind; and ELOHIM saw that it was good.
13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 ELOHIM said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of sky to give light on the earth;” and it was so.
16 ELOHIM made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.
17 ELOHIM set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. ELOHIM saw that it was good.
19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20 ELOHIM said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of sky.”
21 ELOHIM created the large sea creatures, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. ELOHIM saw that it was good.
22 ELOHIM blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24 ELOHIM said, “Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so.
25 ELOHIM made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. ELOHIM saw that it was good.
26 ELOHIM said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 ELOHIM created man in his own image. In ELOHIM’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
28 ELOHIM blessed them. ELOHIM said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 ELOHIM said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.
30 To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so.
31 ELOHIM saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

1 The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array.
2 On the seventh day ELOHIM finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 ELOHIM blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which he had created and made.
4 This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that YHWH ELOHIM made the earth and the heavens.
5 No plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for YHWH ELOHIM had not caused it to rain on the earth. There was not a man to till the ground,
6 but a mist went up from the earth, and watered the whole surface of the ground.
7 YHWH ELOHIM formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Life in ELOHIM's Garden. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YHWH ELOHIM planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 Out of the ground YHWH ELOHIM made every tree to grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it was parted, and became four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pishon: this is the one which flows through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 and the gold of that land is good. There is aromatic resin and the onyx stone.
13 The name of the second river is Gihon: the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush.
14 The name of the third river is Hiddekel: this is the one which flows in front of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 YHWH ELOHIM took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 YHWH ELOHIM commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die.”
18 YHWH ELOHIM said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
19 Out of the ground YHWH ELOHIM formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.
20 The man gave names to all livestock, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper suitable for him.
21 YHWH ELOHIM caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 He made the rib, which YHWH ELOHIM had taken from the man, into a woman, and brought her to the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
25 They were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Monday.  Day 2 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Matthew 1.,2.

Matthew 1.,2.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Genealogy of YESHUA Messiah. .                 The Good News According to Matthew! \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

A record of the genealogy of YESHUA the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.
3 Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar. Perez became the father of Hezron. Hezron became the father of Ram.
4 Ram became the father of Amminadab. Amminadab became the father of Nahshon. Nahshon became the father of Salmon.
5 Salmon became the father of Boaz by Rahab. Boaz became the father of Obed by Ruth. Obed became the father of Jesse.
6 Jesse became the father of King David. David became the father of Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7 Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.
8 Asa became the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat became the father of Joram. Joram became the father of Uzziah.
9 Uzziah became the father of Jotham. Jotham became the father of Ahaz. Ahaz became the father of Hezekiah.
10 Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh. Manasseh became the father of Amon. Amon became the father of Josiah.
11 Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the exile to Babylon.
12 After the exile to Babylon, Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel became the father of Zerubbabel.
13 Zerubbabel became the father of Abiud. Abiud became the father of Eliakim. Eliakim became the father of Azor.
14 Azor became the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of Achim. Achim became the father of Eliud.
15 Eliud became the father of Eleazar. Eleazar became the father of Matthan. Matthan became the father of Jacob.
16 Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom was born YESHUA, who is called Messiah.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah Born of Mary. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now the birth of YESHUA the Messiah was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
19 Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
20 But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of ADONAI appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 She shall bring forth a son. You shall call his name YESHUA, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”
22 Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by ADONAI through the prophet, saying,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child,  and shall bring forth a son.  They shall call his name Immanuel;”  which is, being interpreted, “ELOHIM with us.”
24 Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of ADONAI commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
25 and didn’t know her sexually until she had brought forth her firstborn son. He named him YESHUA!

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Wise Men from the East. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now when YESHUA was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,
2 “Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Messiah would be born.
5 They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is written through the prophet,
6 ‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah,  are in no way least among the princes of Judah:  for out of you shall come forth a governor,  who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”
7 Then Herod secretly called the wise men, and learned from them exactly what time the star appeared.
8 He sent them to Bethlehem, and said, “Go and search diligently for the young child. When you have found him, bring me word, so that I also may come and worship him.”
9 They, having heard the king, went their way; and behold, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, until it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 They came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Opening their treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Being warned in a dream that they shouldn’t return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way.

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Flight into Egypt. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of ADONAI appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”
14 He arose and took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt,
15 and was there until the death of Herod; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by ADONAI through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Massacre of the Innocents. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent out, and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the wise men.
17 Then that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,
18 “A voice was heard in Ramah,  lamentation, weeping and great mourning,  Rachel weeping for her children;  she wouldn’t be comforted,  because they are no more.”

19
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Home in Nazareth. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of ADONAI appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,
20 “Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into Eretz-Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”
21 He arose and took the young child and his mother, and came into Eretz-Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,
23 and came and lived in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

Tuesday.  Day 3 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Genesis 3.,4.

Bereishith (continued):

Genesis 3.,4.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Temptation and Fall of Man. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which YHWH ELOHIM had made. He said to the woman, “Has ELOHIM really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?’”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat,
3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, ELOHIM has said, ‘You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
4 The serpent said to the woman, “You won’t surely die,
5 for ELOHIM knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like ELOHIM, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit, and ate; and she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate.
7 The eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 They heard the voice of YHWH ELOHIM walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of YHWH ELOHIM among the trees of the garden.
9 YHWH ELOHIM called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”
10 The man said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
11 ELOHIM said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
13 YHWH ELOHIM said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 YHWH ELOHIM said to the serpent,  “Because you have done this,  you are cursed above all livestock,  and above every animal of the field.  On your belly you shall go,  and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,  and between your offspring and her offspring.  He will bruise your head,  and you will bruise his heel.”
16 To the woman he said,  “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth.  In pain you will bear children.  Your desire will be for your husband,  and he will rule over you.”
17 To Adam he said,  “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice,  and have eaten of the tree,  of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’  cursed is the ground for your sake.  In toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
18 It will yield thorns and thistles to you;  and you will eat the herb of the field.
19 By the sweat of your face will you eat bread until you return to the ground,  for out of it you were taken.  For you are dust,  and to dust you shall return.”
20 The man called his wife Havah, because she was the mother of all living.
21 YHWH ELOHIM made coats of skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them.
22 YHWH ELOHIM said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever...”
23 Therefore YHWH ELOHIM sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed Cherubs at the east of the garden of Eden, and the flame of a sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Cain Murders Abel. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The man knew Havah his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man with YHWH’s help.”
2 Again she gave birth, to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 As time passed, it happened that Cain brought an offering to YHWH from the fruit of the ground.
4 Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. YHWH respected Abel and his offering,
5 but he didn’t respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.
6 YHWH said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?
7 If you do well, will it not be lifted up? If you don’t do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it.”
8 Cain said to Abel, his brother, “Let’s go into the field.” It happened when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.
9 YHWH said to Cain, “Where is Abel, your brother?” He said, “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
10 YHWH said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.
11 Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
12 From now on, when you till the ground, it won’t yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth.”
13 Cain said to YHWH, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Behold, you have driven me out this day from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. It will happen that whoever finds me will kill me.”
15 YHWH said to him, “Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” YHWH appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should strike him.

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Family of Cain. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Cain went out from YHWH’s presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
17 Cain knew his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
18 To Enoch was born Irad. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehujael became the father of Methushael. Methushael became the father of Lamech.
19 Lamech took two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
20 Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.
21 His brother’s name was Jubal, who was the father of all who handle the harp and pipe.
22 Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of brass and iron. Tubal Cain’s sister was Naamah.
23 Lamech said to his wives,  “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice.  You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech,  for I have slain a man for wounding me,  a young man for bruising me.
24 If Cain will be avenged seven times,  truly Lamech seventy-seven times.”

25
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A New Son. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, “for ELOHIM has appointed me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.”
26 There was also born a son to Seth, and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on YHWH’s name.

Wednesday. Day 4 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Matthew 3.,4.

Matthew 3.,4.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John the Immerser Prepares the Way. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

In those days, John the Immerser came, proclaiming in the wilderness of Judea, saying,
2 “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”
3 For this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying,  “The voice of one crying in the wilderness,  make ready the way of ADONAI.  Make his paths straight.”
4 Now John himself wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then people from Jerusalem, all of Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him.
6 They were immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for his immersion he said to them, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!
9 Don’t think to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father,’ for I tell you that ELOHIM is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
10 “Even now the axe lies at the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.
11 I indeed immerse you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.
12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor. He will gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.”

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John Immerses YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then YESHUA came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be immersed by him.
14 But John would have hindered him, saying, “I need to be immersed by you, and you come to me?”
15 But YESHUA, answering, said to him, “Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him.
16 YESHUA, when he was immersed, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of ELOHIM descending as a dove, and coming on him.
17 Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Satan Tempts YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then YESHUA was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.
3 The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of ELOHIM, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of ELOHIM!’”
5 Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of ELOHIM, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you.’ and,  ‘On their hands they will bear you up,  so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”
7 YESHUA said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test ADONAI, your ELOHIM!’”
8 Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory.
9 He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”
10 Then YESHUA said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship ADONAI your ELOHIM, and you shall serve him only.’”
11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.

12
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Begins His Galilean Ministry. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now when YESHUA heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.
13 Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,  toward the sea, beyond the Jordan,  Galilee of the Gentiles,
16 the people who sat in darkness saw a great light,  to those who sat in the region and shadow of death,  to them light has dawned.”
17 From that time, YESHUA began to proclaim, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Four Fishermen Called as Disciples. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
19 He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”
20 They immediately left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, Jacob the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.
22 They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

23
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Heals a Great Multitude. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YESHUA went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
24 The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
25 Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and from beyond the Jordan followed him.

Thursday.   Day 5 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Genesis 5.,6:1-8.

Bereishith (continued):

Genesis 5.,6:1-8.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Family of Adam. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that ELOHIM created man, he made him in ELOHIM’s likeness.
2 He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name “Adam,” in the day when they were created.
3 Adam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
4 The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he became the father of sons and daughters.
5 All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, then he died.
6 Seth lived one hundred five years, and became the father of Enosh.
7 Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh eight hundred seven years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
8 All the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died.
9 Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
10 Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, eight hundred fifteen years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
11 All the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, then he died.
12 Kenan lived seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.
13 Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel eight hundred forty years, and became the father of sons and daughters
14 and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred ten years, then he died.
15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.
16 Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared eight hundred thirty years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
17 All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years, then he died.
18 Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.
19 Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
20 All the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, then he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.
22 Enoch walked with ELOHIM after he became the father of Methuselah three hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
23 All the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
24 Enoch walked with ELOHIM, and he was not, for ELOHIM took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
26 Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
27 All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,
29 and he named him Noah, saying, “This same will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
30 Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and became the father of sons and daughters.
31 All the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, then he died.
32 Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Wickedness and Judgment of Man. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened, when men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
2 that ELOHIM’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took for themselves wives of all that they chose.
3 YHWH said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; yet will his days be one hundred twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when ELOHIM’s sons came in to men’s daughters. They bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 YHWH saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 YHWH was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
7 YHWH said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”
8 But Noah found favor in YHWH’s eyes.

Friday.  Day 6 before Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning.

Mark 1.,2.,3.

Mark 1.,2.,3.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John the Immerser Prepares the Way. .                 The Good News According to Mark! \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The beginning of the Good News of YESHUA the Messiah, the Son of ELOHIM!
2 As it is written in the Prophets,  “Behold, I send my messenger before your face,  who will prepare your way before you.
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness,  ‘Make ready the way of ADONAI!  Make his paths straight!’”
4 John came immersing in the wilderness and proclaiming the immersion of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
5 All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were immersed by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
6 John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
7 He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
8 I immersed you in water, but he will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.”

9
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John Immerses YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened in those days, that YESHUA came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan.
10 Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

12
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Satan Tempts YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
13 He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Begins His Galilean Ministry. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now after John was taken into custody, YESHUA came into Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of ELOHIM,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of ELOHIM is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Four Fishermen Called as Disciples. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 YESHUA said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
19 Going on a little further from there, he saw Jacob the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Casts Out an Unclean Spirit. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
24 saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, YESHUA, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of ELOHIM!”
25 YESHUA rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
26 The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
28 The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

29
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Peter's Mother-in-Law Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with Jacob and John.
30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
31 He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.

32
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.
33 All the city was gathered together at the door.
34 He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

35
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Preaching in Galilee. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
36 Simon and those who were with him followed after him;
37 and they found him, and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may proclaim there also, because I came out for this reason.”
39 He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, proclaiming and casting out demons.

40
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Cleanses a Leper. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
41 Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
42 When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.
43 He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,
44 and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that YESHUA could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Forgives and Heals a Paralytic. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house.
2 Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
3 Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
4 When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
5 YESHUA, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 “Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but ELOHIM alone?”
8 Immediately YESHUA, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?’
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” he said to the paralytic
11 “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
12 He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified ELOHIM, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Matthew the Tax Collector. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
14 As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Halfai, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
15 It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with YESHUA and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
16 The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 When YESHUA heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Is Questioned About Fasting. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”
19 YESHUA said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then will they fast in that day.
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
22 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”

23
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Is ADONAI of the Sabbath. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
24 The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not legal on the Sabbath day?”
25 He said to them, “Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry he, and those who were with him?
26 How he entered into the house of ELOHIM when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not legal to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
27 He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28 Therefore the Son of Man is master even of the Sabbath.”

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Healing on the Sabbath. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.
2 They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3 He said to the man who had his hand withered, “Stand up.”
4 He said to them, “Is it legal on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.
5 When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
6 The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

7
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Great Multitude Follows YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YESHUA withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
8 from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
9 He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
11 The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, “You are the Son of ELOHIM!”
12 He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Twelve Apostles. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He went up into the mountain, and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
14 He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to proclaim,
15 and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
16 Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter;
17 Jacob the son of Zebedee; John, the brother of Jacob, and he surnamed them Benei-Regesh, which means, Sons of Thunder;
18 Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; Jacob, the son of Halfai; Taddai; Simon the Zealot;
19 and Judah Iscariot, who also betrayed him. He came into a house.

20
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A House Divided Cannot Stand. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21 When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, “He is insane.”
22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
23 He summoned them, and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.

28
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Unpardonable Sin. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
29 but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”
30  because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

31
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA'S Mother and Brothers Send for Him. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
32 A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
33 He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
34 Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
35 For whoever does the will of ELOHIM, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”

Saturday.  Shabbat - Parasha Bereishith - In The Beginning (continued).

Isaiah 42:5-21,  1 Samuel 20:18-42,  Luke 1,2,3,4.

Isaiah 42:5-21.

5 Thus says EL YHWH,  he who created the heavens and stretched them out,  he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it,  he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.
6 “I, YHWH, have called you in righteousness,  and will hold your hand,  and will keep you,  and make you a covenant for the people,  as a light for the nations;
7 to open the blind eyes,  to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon,  and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.
8 “I am YHWH!  That is my name.  I will not give my glory to another,  nor my praise to engraved images.
9 Behold, the former things have happened,  and I declare new things.  I tell you about them before they come up.”

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Praise to YHWH. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Sing to YHWH a new song,  and his praise from the end of the earth,  you who go down to the sea,  and all that is therein,  the islands and their inhabitants.
11 Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices,  with the villages that Kedar inhabits.  Let the inhabitants of Sela sing.  Let them shout from the top of the mountains!
12 Let them give glory to YHWH,  and declare his praise in the islands.
13 YHWH will go out like a mighty man.  He will stir up zeal like a man of war.  He will raise a war cry.  Yes, he will shout aloud.  He will triumph over his enemies.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Promise of YHWH's Help. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“I have been silent a long time.  I have been quiet and restrained myself.  Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.
15 I will destroy mountains and hills,  and dry up all their herbs.  I will make the rivers islands,  and will dry up the pools.
16 I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know.  I will lead them in paths that they don’t know.  I will make darkness light before them,  and crooked places straight.  I will do these things,  and I will not forsake them.
17 “Those who trust in engraved images,  who tell molten images,  ‘You are our gods’  will be turned back.  They will be utterly disappointed.
18 “Hear, you deaf,  and look, you blind,  that you may see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant?  Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send?  Who is as blind as he who is at peace,  and as blind as YHWH’s servant?
20 You see many things, but don’t observe.  His ears are open, but he doesn’t listen.

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Israel's Obstinate Disobedience. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It pleased YHWH, for his righteousness’ sake, to magnify the Torah (teaching and instruction),  and make it honorable.

1 Samuel 20:18-42.

18 Then Jonathan said to him, “Tomorrow is the new moon: and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty.
19 When you have stayed three days, you shall go down quickly, and come to the place where you hid yourself when this started, and shall remain by the stone Ezel.
20 I will shoot three arrows on its side, as though I shot at a mark.
21 Behold, I will send the boy, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows!’ If I tell the boy, ‘Behold, the arrows are on this side of you. Take them;’ then come; for there is peace to you and no hurt, as YHWH lives.
22 But if I say this to the boy, ‘Behold, the arrows are beyond you;’ then go your way; for YHWH has sent you away.
23 Concerning the matter which you and I have spoken of, behold, YHWH is between you and me forever.”
24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon had come, the king sat him down to eat food.
25 The king sat on his seat, as at other times, even on the seat by the wall; and Jonathan stood up, and Abner sat by Saul’s side: but David’s place was empty.
26 Nevertheless Saul didn’t say anything that day: for he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean. Surely he is not clean.”
27 It happened on the next day after the new moon, the second day, that David’s place was empty. Saul said to Jonathan his son, “Why doesn’t the son of Jesse come to eat, neither yesterday, nor today?”
28 Jonathan answered Saul, “David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem.
29 He said, ‘Please let me go, for our family has a sacrifice in the city. My brother has commanded me to be there. Now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me go away and see my brothers.’ Therefore he has not come to the king’s table.”
30 Then Saul’s anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, “You son of a perverse rebellious woman, don’t I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?
31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”
32 Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him, “Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”
33 Saul cast his spear at him to strike him. By this Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.
34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and ate no food the second day of the month; for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.
35 It happened in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little boy with him.
36 He said to his boy, “Run, find now the arrows which I shoot.” As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.
37 When the boy had come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the boy, and said, “Isn’t the arrow beyond you?”
38 Jonathan cried after the boy, “Go fast! Hurry! Don’t delay!” Jonathan’s boy gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
39 But the boy didn’t know anything. Only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
40 Jonathan gave his weapons to his boy, and said to him, “Go, carry them to the city.”
41 As soon as the boy was gone, David arose out of the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times. They kissed one another, and wept one with another, and David wept the most.
42 Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, because we have both sworn in the name of YHWH, saying, ‘YHWH shall be between me and you, and between my seed and your seed, forever.’” He arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.

Luke 1.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Dedication to Theophilus. .                       The Good News According to Luke! \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Since many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those matters which have been fulfilled among us,
2 even as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word delivered them to us,
3 it seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus;
4 that you might know the certainty concerning the things in which you were instructed.

5
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John's Birth Announced to Zacharias. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zechariah, of the priestly division of Abijah. He had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
6 They were both righteous before ELOHIM, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of ADONAI.
7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they both were well advanced in years.
8 Now it happened, while he executed the priest’s office before ELOHIM in the order of his division,
9 according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to enter into the temple of ADONAI and burn incense.
10 The whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense.
11 An angel of ADONAI appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said to him, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
14 You will have joy and gladness; and many will rejoice at his birth.
15 For he will be great in the sight of ADONAI, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
16 He will turn many of the children of Israel to ADONAI, their ELOHIM!
17 He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to prepare a people prepared for ADONAI.”
18 Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”
19 The angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of ELOHIM! I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.
20 Behold, you will be silent and not able to speak, until the day that these things will happen, because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”
21 The people were waiting for Zechariah, and they marveled that he delayed in the temple.
22 When he came out, he could not speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple. He continued making signs to them, and remained mute.
23 It happened, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he departed to his house.
24 After these days Elizabeth, his wife, conceived, and she hid herself five months, saying,
25 “Thus has ADONAI done to me in the days in which he looked at me, to take away my reproach among men.”

26
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah's Birth Announced to Mary. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from ELOHIM to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
28 Having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, you highly favored one! ADONAI is with you. Blessed are you among women!”
29 But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered what kind of salutation this might be.
30 The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with ELOHIM!
31 Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name ‘YESHUA!’
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. ADONAI ELOHIM will give him the throne of his father, David,
33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.”
34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of ELOHIM!
36 Behold, Elizabeth, your relative, also has conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.
37 For everything spoken by ELOHIM is possible.”
38 Mary said, “Behold, the handmaid of ADONAI; be it to me according to your word.” The angel departed from her.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Mary Visits Elizabeth. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah,
40 and entered into the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.
41 It happened, when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, that the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 She called out with a loud voice, and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
43 Why am I so favored, that the mother of my ADONAI should come to me?
44 For behold, when the voice of your greeting came into my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy!
45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of the things which have been spoken to her from ADONAI!”

46
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Song of Mary. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Mary said,  “My soul magnifies ADONAI.
47 My spirit has rejoiced in ELOHIM my Savior,
48 for he has looked at the humble state of his handmaid.  For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed.
49 For he who is mighty has done great things for me.  Holy is his name.
50 His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.
51 He has shown strength with his arm.  He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He has put down princes from their thrones.  And has exalted the lowly.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things.  He has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,
55 As he spoke to our fathers,  to Abraham and his seed forever.”
56 Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her house.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Circumcision of John the Immerser. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zechariah, after the name of the father.
60 His mother answered, “Not so; but he will be called John.”
61 They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”
62 They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
63 He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, “His name is John.” They all marveled.
64 His mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue freed, and he spoke, blessing ELOHIM!
65 Fear came on all who lived around them, and all these sayings were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” The hand of ADONAI was with him.

His father, Zechariah, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
68 “Blessed be ADONAI, the ELOHIM of Israel,  for he has visited and worked redemption for his people;
69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David
70 (as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been from of old),
71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us;
72 to show mercy towards our fathers,  to remember his holy covenant,
73 the oath which he spoke to Abraham, our father,
74 to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies,  should serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.
76 And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High,  for you will go before the face of ADONAI to prepare his ways,
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the remission of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our ELOHIM,  whereby the dawn from on high will visit us,
79 to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death;  to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
80 The child was growing, and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

Luke 2.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah Born of Mary. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now it happened in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled.
2 This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3 All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;
5 to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.
6 It happened, while they were there, that the day had come that she should give birth.
7 She brought forth her firstborn son, and she wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.

8
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Glory in the Highest. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.
9 Behold, an angel of ADONAI stood by them, and the glory of ADONAI shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.
11 For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Messiah ADONAI.
12 This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”
13 Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising ELOHIM, and saying,
14 “Glory to ELOHIM in the highest,  on earth peace, good will toward men.”
15 It happened, when the angels went away from them into the sky, that the shepherds said one to another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which ADONAI has made known to us.”
16 They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough.
17 When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child.
18 All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.
20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising ELOHIM for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.

26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen ADONAI’s Messiah.
27 He came in the Spirit into the temple. When the parents brought in the child, YESHUA, that they might do concerning him according to the requirement of the Torah,
28 then he received him into his arms, and blessed ELOHIM, and said,
29 “Now you are releasing your servant, Master,  according to your word, in peace;
30 for my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;
32 a light for revelation to the nations,  and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 Joseph and his mother were marveling at the things which were spoken concerning him,
34 and Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against.
35 Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

44 but supposing him to be in the company, they went a day’s journey, and they looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances.
45 When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him.
46 It happened after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the rabbis, both listening to them, and asking them questions.
47 All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
48 When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”
49 He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
50 They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.

Luke 3.,4.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John the Immerser Prepares the Way. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
2 in the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of ELOHIM came to John, the son of Zechariah, in the wilderness.
3 He came into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming the immersion of repentance for remission of sins.
4 As it is written in the scroll of the words of Isaiah the prophet,  “The voice of one crying in the wilderness,  ‘Make ready the way of ADONAI.  Make his paths straight.
5 Every valley will be filled.  Every mountain and hill will be brought low.  The crooked will become straight,  and the rough ways smooth.
6 All flesh will see ELOHIM’s salvation.’”

7
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John Preaches to the People. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be immersed by him, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and don’t begin to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father;’ for I tell you that ELOHIM is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!
9 Even now the axe also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.”
10 The multitudes asked him, “What then must we do?”
11 He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
12 Tax collectors also came to be immersed, and they said to him, “Rabbi, what must we do?”
13 He said to them, “Collect no more than that which is appointed to you.”
14 Soldiers also asked him, saying, “What about us? What must we do?” He said to them, “Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages.”
15 As the people were in expectation, and all men reasoned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he was the Messiah,
16 John answered them all, “I indeed immerse you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and fire,
17 whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
18 Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
19 but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,
20 added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.

YESHUA, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of ELOHIM, command this stone to become bread.”
4 YESHUA answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of ELOHIM!’”
5 The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.
7 If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours.”
8 YESHUA answered him, “Get behind me Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship ADONAI your ELOHIM, and you shall serve him only.’”
9 He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of ELOHIM, cast yourself down from here,
10 for it is written,  ‘He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’
11 and,  ‘On their hands they will bear you up,  lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’”
12 YESHUA answering, said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt ADONAI your ELOHIM!’”
13 When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Rejected at Nazareth. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the scroll, and found the place where it was written,
18 “The Spirit of ADONAI is on me,  because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,  to proclaim release to the captives,  recovering of sight to the blind,  to deliver those who are crushed,
19 and to proclaim the acceptable year of ADONAI.”
20 He closed the scroll, gave it back to the shammash, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”
23 He said to them, “Doubtless you will tell me this parable, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”
24 He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
25 But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.
26 Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
27 There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian.”
28 They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.
29 They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.
30 But he, passing through their midst, went his way.

He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,
32 and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
33 In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, YESHUA of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of ELOHIM!”
35 YESHUA rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
36 Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
37 News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.

44 He was proclaiming in the synagogues of Galilee.
