Sunday.  Day 1 before Shabbat Parasha Noach - Noah.

Genesis 6:9-to-end.

Genesis 6:9-to-end.

9 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Noah Pleases ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with ELOHIM!
10 Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth was corrupt before ELOHIM, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 ELOHIM saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Ark Prepared. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

ELOHIM said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.
15 This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship will be three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16 You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.
17 I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
18 But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
19 Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.
20 Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive.
21 Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”
22 Thus Noah did. According to all that ELOHIM commanded him, so he did.

Monday.  Day 2 before Shabbat Parasha Noach - Noah.

Genesis 7,  Matthew 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Genesis 7.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Great Flood. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YHWH said to Noah, “Come with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.
2 You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.
3 Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.
4 In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. Every living thing that I have made, I will destroy from the surface of the ground.”
5 Noah did everything that YHWH commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.
7 Noah went into the ship with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Clean animals, animals that are not clean, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground
9 went by pairs to Noah into the ship, male and female, as ELOHIM commanded Noah.
10 It happened after the seven days, that the waters of the flood came on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep were burst open, and the sky’s windows were opened.
12 The rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ship;
14 they, and every animal after its kind, all the livestock after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.
15 They went to Noah into the ship, by pairs of all flesh with the breath of life in them.
16 Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as ELOHIM commanded him; and YHWH shut him in.
17 The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the ship, and it was lifted up above the earth.
18 The waters prevailed, and increased greatly on the earth; and the ship floated on the surface of the waters.
19 The waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered.
20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.
21 All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
23 Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ship.
24 The waters prevailed on the earth one hundred fifty days.

Matthew 5.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Beatitudes. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
2 He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,  for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,  for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the gentle,  for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness,  for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,  for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,  for they shall see ELOHIM!
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,  for they shall be called children of ELOHIM!
10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake,  for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Believers Are Salt and Light. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
15 Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.
16 Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

17
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah Fulfills the Torah. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Don’t think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the Torah, until all things are accomplished.
19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Murder Begins in the Heart. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.’
22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehinnom.
23 “If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,
24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him in the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
26 Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.

27
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Adultery in the Heart. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“You have heard that it was said,  ‘You shall not commit adultery;’
28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehinnom.
30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehinnom.

31
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Marriage Is Sacred and Binding. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’
32 but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

33
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Forbids Oaths. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Again you have heard that it was said to them of old time, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to ADONAI your vows,’
34 but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of ELOHIM;
35 nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black.
37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.

38
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Go the Second Mile. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’
39 But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.
41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
42 Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

43
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Love Your Enemies. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’
44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?
47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?
48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 6.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Do Good to Please ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
2 Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a shofar before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
3 But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,
4 so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

5
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Model Prayer. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
6 But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
7 In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
8 Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.
9 Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Fasting to Be Seen Only by ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;
18 so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

19
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Lay Up Treasures in Heaven. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;
21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Lamp of the Body. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

24
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. You Cannot Serve ELOHIM and Riches. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both ELOHIM and Mammon.

25
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Do Not Worry. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
27 “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?
28 Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,
29 yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
30 But if ELOHIM so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
31 “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first ELOHIM’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

Matthew 7.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Do Not Judge. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.
2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

7
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the Torah and the Prophets.

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Narrow Way. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
14 How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

15
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. You Will Know Them by Their Fruits. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. I Never Knew You. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Not everyone who says to me, ‘ADONAI, ADONAI,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘ADONAI, ADONAI, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’

24
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Build on the Rock. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell and great was its fall.”
28 It happened, when YESHUA had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
29 for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

Matthew 8.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Cleanses a Leper. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “ADONAI, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
3 YESHUA stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 YESHUA said to him, “See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

5
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Heals a Centurion's Servant. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him,
6 and saying, “ADONAI, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”
7 YESHUA said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 The centurion answered, “ADONAI, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
9 For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When YESHUA heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, “Most certainly I tell you, I haven’t found so great a faith, not even in Israel.
11 I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven,
12 but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 YESHUA said to the centurion, “Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed in that hour.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Peter's Mother-in-Law Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When YESHUA came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.
15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him.

16
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Many Healed in the Evening. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.”

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Cost of Discipleship. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now when YESHUA saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side.
19 A scribe came, and said to him, “Rabbi, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 YESHUA said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 Another of his disciples said to him, “ADONAI, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
22 But YESHUA said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

23
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Wind and Wave Obey YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him.
24 Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.
25 They came to him, and woke him up, saying, “Save us, ADONAI! We are dying!”
26 He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

28
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Two Demon-Possessed Men Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that nobody could pass that way.
29 Behold, they cried out, saying, “What do we have to do with you, YESHUA, Son of ELOHIM? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
30 Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them.
31 The demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”
32 He said to them, “Go!” They came out, and went into the herd of pigs: and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the water.
33 Those who fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, including what happened to those who were possessed with demons.
34 Behold, all the city came out to meet YESHUA! When they saw him, they begged that he would depart from their borders.

Matthew 9.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Forgives and Heals a Paralytic. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
2 Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. YESHUA, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”
3 Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”
4 YESHUA, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house.”
7 He arose and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified ELOHIM, who had given such authority to men.

9
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Matthew the Tax Collector. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

As YESHUA passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.
10 It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with YESHUA and his disciples.
11 When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your rabbi eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 When YESHUA heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
13 But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Is Questioned About Fasting. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”
15 YESHUA said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
19 YESHUA got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
20 Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
21 for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”
22 But YESHUA, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
23 When YESHUA came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
24 he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.
25 But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
26 The report of this went out into all that land.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Two Blind Men Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

As YESHUA passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”
28 When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. YESHUA said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, ADONAI.”
29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”
30 Their eyes were opened. YESHUA strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”
31 But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

32
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Mute Man Speaks. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
33 When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”
34 But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Compassion of YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YESHUA went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
38 Pray therefore that ADONAI of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”

Tuesday.  Day 3 before Shabbat Parasha Noach - Noah.

Genesis 8,  Mark  4.

Genesis 8.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Noah's Deliverance. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

ELOHIM remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and ELOHIM made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.
2 The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.
3 The waters receded from the earth continually. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters decreased.
4 The ship rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat’s mountains.
5 The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
6 It happened at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made,
7 and he sent out a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth.
8 He sent out a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground,
9 but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him into the ship; for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.
10 He stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship.
11 The dove came back to him at evening, and, behold, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.
12 He stayed yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him any more.
13 It happened in the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dried.
14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
15 ELOHIM spoke to Noah, saying,
16 “Go out of the ship, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.
17 Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.”
18 Noah went out, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.
19 Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship.

20
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. ELOHIM's Covenant with Creation. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Noah built an altar to YHWH, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 YHWH smelled the pleasant aroma. YHWH said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake, because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike everything living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

Mark 4.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Sower. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea.
2 He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,
3 “Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,
4 and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and devoured it.
5 Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.
6 When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8 Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.”
9 He said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Purpose of Parables. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.
11 He said to them, “To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of ELOHIM, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,
12 that ‘seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’”

13
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Sower Explained. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?
14 The farmer sows the word.
15 The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.
16 These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.
17 They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.
18 Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word,
19 and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
20 Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Light Under a Basket. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?
22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.
23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”
24 He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.
25 For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”

26
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Growing Seed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He said, “The Kingdom of ELOHIM is as if a man should cast seed on the earth,
27 and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn’t know how.
28 For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

30
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Mustard Seed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He said, “How will we liken the Kingdom of ELOHIM? Or with what parable will we illustrate it?
31 It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth,
32 yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”

33
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA'S Use of Parables. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.
34 Without a parable he didn’t speak to them; but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.

35
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Wind and Wave Obey YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

On that day, when evening had come, he said  to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
36 Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him.
37 A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.
38 He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Rabbi, don’t you care that we are dying?”
39 He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
41 They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Wednesday.  Day 4 before Shabbat Parasha Noach - Noah.

Genesis 9,  Mark  5. 6.

Genesis 9.

1 ELOHIM blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that the ground teems with, and all the fish of the sea are delivered into your hand.
3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As the green herb, I have given everything to you.
4 But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat.
5 I will surely require your blood of your lives. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.
6 Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for ELOHIM made man in his own image.
7 Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.”
8 ELOHIM spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 “As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
11 I will establish my covenant with you: all flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12 ELOHIM said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 It will happen, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
15 and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between ELOHIM and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
17 ELOHIM said to Noah, “This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Noah and His Sons. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these, the whole earth was populated.
20 Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard.
21 He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.
22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
23 Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they didn’t see their father’s nakedness.
24 Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
25 He said,  “Canaan is cursed.  He will be servant of servants to his brothers.”
26 He said,  “Blessed be YHWH, the ELOHIM of Shem.  Let Canaan be his servant.
27 May ELOHIM enlarge Japheth.  Let him dwell in the tents of Shem.  Let Canaan be his servant.”
28 Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.
29 All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, then he died.

Mark 5.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Demon-Possessed Man Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 When he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs.
3 He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,
4 because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces. Nobody had the strength to tame him.
5 Always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.
6 When he saw YESHUA from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,
7 and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, YESHUA, you Son of the Most High ELOHIM? I adjure you by ELOHIM, don’t torment me.”
8 For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”
9 He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”
10 He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.
12 All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”
13 At once YESHUA gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.
14 Those who fed them fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.
15 They came to YESHUA, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.
16 Those who saw it declared to them how it happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.
17 They began to beg him to depart from their region.
18 As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.
19 He didn’t allow him, but said to him, “Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things ADONAI has done for you, and how he had mercy on you.”
20 He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how YESHUA had done great things for him, and everyone marveled.

21
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When YESHUA had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.
22 Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
23 and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”
24 He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.
25 A certain woman, who had an issue of blood for twelve years,
26 and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,
27 having heard the things concerning YESHUA, came up behind him in the crowd, and touched his clothes.
28 For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”
29 Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
30 Immediately YESHUA, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd, and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”
32 He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”
35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Rabbi any more?”
36 But YESHUA, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
37 He allowed no one to follow him, except Peter, Jacob, and John the brother of Jacob.
38 He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.
39 When he had ente red in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”
40 They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.
41 Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”
42 Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.
43 He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.

Mark 6.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Rejected at Nazareth. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
2 When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of Jacob, Yosi, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him.
4 YESHUA said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”
5 He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.
6 He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.

7
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Sending Out the Twelve. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
8 He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,
9 but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.
10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
11 Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
12 They went out and preached that people should repent.
13 They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John the Immerser Beheaded. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Immerser has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
15 But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”
16 But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”
17 For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
18 For John said to Herod, “It is not legal for you to have your brother’s wife.”
19 Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,
20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.
21 Then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.
22 When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”
23 He swore to her, “Whatever you shall ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”
24 She went out, and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Immerser.”
25 She came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Immerser on a platter.”
26 The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.
27 Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John’s head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.
29 When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

30
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Feeding the Five Thousand. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The emissaries gathered themselves together to YESHUA, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
31 He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.
33 They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.
34 YESHUA came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
35 When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.
36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”
37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give them something to eat?”
38 He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
39 He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
40 They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
41 He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
42 They all ate, and were filled.
43 They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
44 Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

45
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Walks on the Sea. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.
46 After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
47 When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
48 Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them,
49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;
50 for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”
51 He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;
52 for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

53
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Many Touch Him and Are Made Well. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.
54 When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.
56 Wherever he entered, into villages, or into  cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.

Thursday.  Day 5 before Shabbat Parasha Noach - Noah.

Genesis 10, 11:1-32.

Genesis 10.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Nations Descended from Noah. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Of these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.
6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before YHWH! Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before YHWH!”
10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city).
13 Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
14 Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim.
15 Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth,
16 the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite,
17 the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite,
18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.
19 The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha.
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
21 To Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
25 To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother’s name was Joktan.
26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. Of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

Genesis 11:1-32.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Tower of Babel. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
2 It happened, as they traveled east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they lived there.
3 They said one to another, “Come, let’s make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
4 They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”
5 YHWH came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.
6 YHWH said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.
7 Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
8 So YHWH scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city.
9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there YHWH confused the language of all the earth. From there, YHWH scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Shem's Descendants. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

This is the history of the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old and became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood.
11 Shem lived five hundred years after he became the father of Arpachshad, and became the father of sons and daughters.
12 Arpachshad lived thirty-five years and became the father of Shelah.
13 Arpachshad lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Shelah, and became the father of sons and daughters.
14 Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber:
15 and Shelah lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Eber, and became the father of sons and daughters.
16 Eber lived thirty-four years, and became the father of Peleg.
17 Eber lived four hundred thirty years after he became the father of Peleg, and became the father of sons and daughters.
18 Peleg lived thirty years, and became the father of Reu.
19 Peleg lived two hundred nine years after he became the father of Reu, and became the father of sons and daughters.
20 Reu lived thirty-two years, and became the father of Serug.
21 Reu lived two hundred seven years after he became the father of Serug, and became the father of sons and daughters.
22 Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor.
23 Serug lived two hundred years after he became the father of Nahor, and became the father of sons and daughters.
24 Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah.
25 Nahor lived one hundred nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and became the father of sons and daughters.
26 Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

27
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Terah's Descendants. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now this is the history of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran became the father of Lot.
28 Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur-Kasdim.
29 Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran who was also the father of Iscah.
30 Sarai was barren. She had no child.
31 Terah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife. They went from Ur-Kasdim, to go into the land of Canaan. They came to Haran and lived there.
32 The days of Terah were two hundred five years. Terah died in Haran.

Friday.  Day 6 before Shabbat Parasha Noach.

Isaiah 54:1-10,  Isaiah 66:1-24.

Haftarah:

Isaiah 54:1-10.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Perpetual Covenant of Peace. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Sing, barren, you who didn’t bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says YHWH!
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
3 For you shall spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 “Don’t be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be confounded; for you shall not be disappointed: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood you shall remember no more.
5 For your Maker is your husband; YHWH of Hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the ELOHIM of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For YHWH has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your ELOHIM!
7 “For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.
8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you,” says YHWH your Redeemer.
9 “For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed,” says YHWH who has mercy on you.

Isaiah 66:1-24.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. True Worship and False. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Thus says YHWH, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what kind of house will you build to me? and what place shall be my rest?
2 For all these things has my hand made, and so all these things came to be,” says YHWH:  “but to this man will I look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3 He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations:
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen; but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”

5
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YHWH Vindicates Zion. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Hear the word of YHWH, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said,  ‘Let YHWH be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of YHWH that renders recompense to his enemies.
7 “Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she delivered a son.
8 Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? shall a nation be brought forth at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth?” says YHWH: “shall I who cause to bring forth shut the womb?” says your ELOHIM!
10 “Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;
11 that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”
12 For thus says YHWH, “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Reign and Indignation of ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of YHWH shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15 For, behold, YHWH will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire will YHWH execute judgment, and by his sword, on all flesh; and the slain of YHWH shall be many.
17 “Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating pig’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together,” says YHWH!
18 “For I know their works and their thoughts: the time comes, that I will gather all nations and languages; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.
19 “I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the islands afar off, who have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
20 They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to YHWH, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says YHWH, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of YHWH!
21 Of them also will I take for priests and for Levites,” says YHWH!
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says YHWH, “so your seed and your name shall remain.
23 It shall happen, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me,” says YHWH!
24 “They shall go forth, and look on the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

Saturday;  Shabbat - Parasha Noach - Noah.

Luke 5, 6, 7, 8.

Luke 5.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Four Fishermen Called as Disciples. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now it happened, while the multitude pressed on him and heard the word of ELOHIM, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at YESHUA’s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, ADONAI.”
9 For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 and so also were Jacob and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. YESHUA said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.

12
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Cleanses a Leper. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened, while he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy. When he saw YESHUA, he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “ADONAI, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the leprosy left him.
14 He commanded him to tell no one, “But go your way, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing according to what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
15 But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.

17
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Forgives and Heals a Paralytic. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and teachers of the Torah sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of ADONAI was with him to heal them.
18 Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before YESHUA!
19 Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the midst before YESHUA!
20 Seeing their faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but ELOHIM alone?”
22 But YESHUA, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying ELOHIM!
26 Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified ELOHIM! They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”

27
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Matthew the Tax Collector. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 Levi made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 Their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 YESHUA answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

33
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Is Questioned About Fasting. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

They said to him, “Why do John’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink?”
34 He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.
39 No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”

Luke 6.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Is ADONAI of the Sabbath. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first, that he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
2 But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not legal to do on the Sabbath day?”
3 YESHUA, answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;
4 how he entered into the house of ELOHIM, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not legal to eat except for the priests alone?”
5 He said to them, “The Son of Man is master of the Sabbath.”

6
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Healing on the Sabbath. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.
7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up, and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.
9 Then YESHUA said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it legal on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”
10 He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.
11 But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to YESHUA!

12
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Twelve Apostles. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened in these days, that he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to ELOHIM!
13 When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named emissaries:
14 Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; Jacob; John; Philip; Bartholomew;
15 Matthew; Thomas; Jacob, the son of Halfai; Simon, who was called the Zealot;
16 Judah the son of Jacob; and Judah Iscariot, who also became a traitor.

17
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Heals a Great Multitude. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases;
18 as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were being healed.
19 All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.

20
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Beatitudes. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,  “Blessed are you who are poor,  for yours is the Kingdom of ELOHIM!
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,  for you will be filled.  Blessed are you who weep now,  for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.

24
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Pronounces Woes. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“But woe to you who are rich!  For you have received your consolation.
25 Woe to you, you who are full now,  for you will be hungry.  Woe to you who laugh now,  for you will mourn and weep.
26 Woe, when men speak well of you,  for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.

27
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Love Your Enemies. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
29 To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also.
30 Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
31 “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.
32 If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
36 Therefore be merciful,  even as your Father is also merciful.

37
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Do Not Judge. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Don’t judge,  and you won’t be judged.  Don’t condemn,  and you won’t be condemned.  Set free,  and you will be set free.
38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”
39 He spoke a parable to them. “Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit?
40 A disciple is not above his rabbi, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his rabbi.
41 Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
42 Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.

43
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit.
44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.
45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

46
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Build on the Rock. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“Why do you call me, ‘ADONAI, ADONAI,’ and don’t do the things which I say?
47 Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.
49 But he who hears, and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

Luke 7.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Heals a Centurion's Servant. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2 A certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.
3 When he heard about YESHUA, he sent to him Jewish elders, asking him to come and save his servant.
4 When they came to YESHUA, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,
5 for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.”
6 YESHUA went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, “ADONAI, don’t trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof.
7 Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8 For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
9 When YESHUA heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel.”
10 Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.

11
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA Raises the Song of Solomon of the Widow of Nain. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.
12 Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.
13 When ADONAI saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, “Don’t cry.”
14 He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”
15 He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
16 Fear took hold of all, and they glorified ELOHIM, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “ELOHIM has visited his people!”
17 This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. John the Immerser Sends Messengers to YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

The disciples of John told him about all these things.
19 John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to YESHUA, saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”
20 When the men had come to him, they said, “John the Immerser has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”
21 In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.
22 YESHUA answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
23 Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
24 When John’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
25 But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
27 This is he of whom it is written,  ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face,  who will prepare your way before you.’
28 “For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Immerser, yet he who is least in the Kingdom of ELOHIM is greater than he.”
29 When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared ELOHIM to be just, having been immersed with John’s immersion.
30 But the Pharisees and the Torah scholars rejected the counsel of ELOHIM, not being immersed by him themselves.
31 “To what then will I liken the people of this generation? What are they like?
32 They are like children who sit in the marketplace, and call one to another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’
33 For John the Immerser came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’
34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard; a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
35 Wisdom is justified by all her children.”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Sinful Woman Forgiven. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house, and sat at the table.
37 Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
38 Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”
40 YESHUA answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Rabbi, say on.”
41 “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
42 When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”
43 Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
44 Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your  house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.
45 You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
48 He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Luke 8.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Many Women Minister to YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of ELOHIM! With him were the twelve,
2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 and Yochanah, the wife of Kuza, Herod’s steward; Shoshanah; and many others; who served them from their possessions.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Sower. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When a great multitude came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.
5 “The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
6 Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7 Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.
8 Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Purpose of Parables. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”
10 He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of ELOHIM, but to the rest in parables; that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

11
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Sower Explained. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of ELOHIM!
12 Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
14 That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Parable of the Revealed Light. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
17 For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.
18 Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. YESHUA'S Mother and Brothers Come to Him. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
20 It was told him by some saying, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”
21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of ELOHIM, and do it.”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Wind and Wave Obey YESHUA. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
23 But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
24 They came to him, and awoke him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.
25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, “Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Demon-Possessed Man Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

They arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 When YESHUA stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw YESHUA, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, YESHUA, you Son of the Most High ELOHIM? I beg you, don’t torment me!”
29 For YESHUA was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
30 YESHUA asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.
31 They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.
32 Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.
33 The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.
34 When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
35 People went out to see what had happened. They came to YESHUA, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at YESHUA’s feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
37 All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.
38 But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but YESHUA sent him away, saying,
39 “Return to your house, and declare what great things ELOHIM has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things YESHUA had done for him.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It happened, when YESHUA returned, that the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 Behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at YESHUA’s feet, and begged him to come into his house,
42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.
43 A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any,
44 came behind him, and touched the fringe of his cloak, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
45 YESHUA said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”
46 But YESHUA said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”
47 When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
49 While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Rabbi.”
50 But YESHUA hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
51 When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, Jacob, the father of the child, and her mother.
52 All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”
53 They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”
55 Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
56 Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
