& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

Exodus 35, 1 Corinthians 1.,2.

Vayakhel:

Exodus 35.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Sabbath Regulations. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, “These are the words which YHWH has commanded, that you should do them.
2 ‘Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of solemn rest to YHWH: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.
3 You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day.’”

4
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Offerings for the Tabernacle. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which YHWH commanded, saying,
5 ‘Take from among you an offering to YHWH! Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, YHWH’s offering: gold, silver, brass,
6 blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,
7 rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,
8 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,
9 onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Articles of the Tabernacle. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“‘Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that YHWH has commanded:
11 the tabernacle, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;
12 the ark, and its poles, the mercy seat, the veil of the screen;
13 the table with its poles and all its vessels, and the show bread;
14 the menorah also for the light, with its vessels, its lamps, and the oil for the light;
15 and the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle;
16 the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of brass, it poles, and all its vessels, the basin and its base;
17 the hangings of the court, its pillars, their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court;
18 the pins of the tabernacle, the pins of the court, and their cords;
19 the finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.’”

20
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Tabernacle Offerings Presented. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

All the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.
21 They came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought YHWH’s offering, for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments.
22 They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to YHWH!
23 Everyone, with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them.
24 Everyone who offered an offering of silver and brass brought YHWH’s offering; and everyone, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.
25 All the women who were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.
26 All the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.
27 The rulers brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastplate;
28 and the spice, and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
29 The children of Israel brought a freewill offering to YHWH; every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which YHWH had commanded to be made by Moses.

30
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Artisans Called by ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Moses said to the children of Israel, “Behold, YHWH has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
31 He has filled him with the Spirit of ELOHIM, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship;
32 and to make skillful works, to work in gold, in silver, in brass,
33 in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of skillful workmanship.
34 He has put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35 He has filled them with wisdom of heart, to work all kinds of workmanship, of the engraver, of the skillful workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of those who do any workmanship, and of those who make skillful works.

1 Corinthians 1.,2.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Greeting. .                1 Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians! \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Paul, called to be an emissary of YESHUA the Messiah through the will of ELOHIM, and our brother Sosthenes,
2 to the assembly of ELOHIM which is at Corinth; those who are sanctified in Messiah YESHUA, called to be holy ones, with all who call on the name of our ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah in every place, both theirs and ours:
3 Grace to you and peace from ELOHIM our Father and ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah.

4
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Spiritual Gifts at Corinth. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

I always thank my ELOHIM concerning you, for the grace of ELOHIM which was given you in Messiah YESHUA;
5 that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge;
6 even as the testimony of Messiah was confirmed in you:
7 so that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah;
8 who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah.
9 ELOHIM is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, YESHUA the Messiah, our ADONAI.

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Sectarianism Is Sin. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our ADONAI, YESHUA the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Kefa,” and, “I follow Messiah.”
13 Is Messiah divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paul?
14 I thank ELOHIM that I immersed none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,
15 so that no one should say that I had immersed you into my own name.
16 (I also immersed the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I immersed any other.)
17 For Messiah sent me not to immerse, but to proclaim the Good News not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Messiah wouldn’t be made void.

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah the Power and Wisdom of ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are saved it is the power of ELOHIM!
19 For it is written,  “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,  I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the Torah scholar of this world? Hasn’t ELOHIM made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For seeing that in the wisdom of ELOHIM, the world through its wisdom didn’t know ELOHIM, it was ELOHIM’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the proclaiming to save those who believe.
22 For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
23 but we proclaim Messiah crucified; a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah is the power of ELOHIM and the wisdom of ELOHIM!
25 Because the foolishness of ELOHIM is wiser than men, and the weakness of ELOHIM is stronger than men.

26
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Glory Only in YHWH. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
27 but ELOHIM chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. ELOHIM chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
28 and ELOHIM chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are:
29 that no flesh should boast before ELOHIM!
30 But of him, you are in Messiah YESHUA, who was made to us wisdom from ELOHIM, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:
31 that, according as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in ADONAI.”

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Messiah Crucified. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

When I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of ELOHIM!
2 For I determined not to know anything among you, except YESHUA the Messiah, and him crucified.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4 My speech and my proclaiming were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 that your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of ELOHIM!

6
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Spiritual Wisdom. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing.
7 But we speak ELOHIM’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which ELOHIM foreordained before the worlds for our glory,
8 which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified ADONAI of glory.
9 But as it is written,  “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear,  which didn’t enter into the heart of man,  these ELOHIM has prepared for those who love him.”
10 But to us, ELOHIM revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of ELOHIM!
11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of ELOHIM, except ELOHIM’s Spirit.
12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from ELOHIM, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by ELOHIM!
13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
14 Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of ELOHIM’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
16 “For who has known the mind of ADONAI, that he should instruct him?” But we have Messiah’s mind.

Monday.  Day 2 before Shabbat - Parasha Vayakhel - And He Assembled
& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.
Exodus 36.

Exodus 36.

1 “Bezalel and Oholiab shall work with every wise-hearted man, in whom YHWH has put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that YHWH has commanded.”

2
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The People Give More than Enough. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart YHWH had put wisdom, even everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to the work to do it:
3 and they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, with which to make it. They brought yet to him freewill offerings every morning.
4 All the wise men, who performed all the work of the sanctuary, each came from his work which they did.
5 They spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which YHWH commanded to make.”
6 Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make anything else for the offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing.
7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

8
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Building the Tabernacle. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

All the wise-hearted men among those who did the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim, the work of the skillful workman, they made them.
9 The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains had one measure.
10 He coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled one to another.
11 He made loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling. Likewise he made in the edge of the curtain that was outmost in the second coupling.
12 He made fifty loops in the one curtain, and he made fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that was in the second coupling. The loops were opposite one to another.
13 He made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains one to another with the clasps: so the tabernacle was a unit.
14 He made curtains of goats’ hair for a covering over the tabernacle. He made them eleven curtains.
15 The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of each curtain. The eleven curtains had one measure.
16 He coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.
17 He made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was outmost in the coupling, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which was outmost in the second coupling.
18 He made fifty clasps of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be a unit.
19 He made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above.
20 He made the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up.
21 Ten cubits was the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each board.
22 Each board had two tenons, joined one to another. He made all the boards of the tabernacle this way.
23 He made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward.
24 He made forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
25 For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty boards,
26 and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
27 For the far part of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.
28 He made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the far part.
29 They were double beneath, and in the same way they were all the way to its top to one ring. He did this to both of them in the two corners.
30 There were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; under every board two sockets.
31 He made bars of acacia wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32 and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the hinder part westward.
33 He made the middle bar to pass through in the midst of the boards from the one end to the other.
34 He overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold for places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
35 He made the veil of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubim. He made it the work of a skillful workman.
36 He made four pillars of acacia for it, and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold. He cast four sockets of silver for them.
37 He made a screen for the door of the tent, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer;
38 and the five pillars of it with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals and their fillets with gold, and their five sockets were of brass.

1 Corinthians 3.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Sectarianism Is Carnal. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Messiah.
2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready,
3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?
4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?

5
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Watering, Working, Warning. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as ADONAI gave to him?
6 I planted. Apollos watered. But ELOHIM gave the increase
_.
7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but ELOHIM who gives the increase
_.
8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are ELOHIM’s fellow workers. You are ELOHIM’s farming, ELOHIM’s building.
10 According to the grace of ELOHIM which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.
11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is YESHUA the Messiah.
12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;
13 each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.
14 If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.
16 Don’t you know that you are a temple of ELOHIM, and that ELOHIM’s Spirit lives in you?
17 If anyone destroys the temple of ELOHIM, ELOHIM will destroy him; for ELOHIM’s temple is holy, which you are.

18
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Avoid Worldly Wisdom. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with ELOHIM! For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”
20 And again, “ADONAI knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”
21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,
22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Kefa, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,
23 and you are Messiah’s, and Messiah is ELOHIM’s.

Tuesday.  Day 3 before Shabbat - Parasha Vayakhel - And He Assembled
& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

Exodus 37, 1 Corinthians 4.

Exodus 37.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Ark of the Testimony. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Its length was two and a half cubits, and its breadth a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.
2 He overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold for it around it.
3 He cast four rings of gold for it, in its four feet; even two rings on its one side, and two rings on its other side.
4 He made poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.
5 He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
6 He made a mercy seat of pure gold. Its length was two and a half cubits, and a cubit and a half its breadth.
7 He made two cherubim of gold. He made them of beaten work, at the two ends of the mercy seat;
8 one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. He made the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends.
9 The cherubim spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Table for the Showbread. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the table of acacia wood. Its length was two cubits, and its breadth was a cubit, and its height was a cubit and a half.
11 He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding around it.
12 He made a border of a handbreadth around it, and made a golden molding on its border around it.
13 He cast four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that were on its four feet.
14 The rings were close by the border, the places for the poles to carry the table.
15 He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.
16 He made the vessels which were on the table, its dishes, its spoons, its bowls, and its pitchers with which to pour out, of pure gold.

17
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Gold Lampstand. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the menorah of pure gold. He made the menorah of beaten work. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers were of one piece with it.
18 There were six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the menorah out of its one side, and three branches of the menorah out of its other side:
19 three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower, and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower: so for the six branches going out of the menorah.
20 In the menorah were four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;
21 and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of it.
22 Their buds and their branches were of one piece with it. The whole thing was one beaten work of pure gold.
23 He made its seven lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff dishes, of pure gold.
24 He made it of a talent of pure gold, with all its vessels.

25
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Altar of Incense. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the altar of incense of acacia wood. It was square: its length was a cubit, and its breadth a cubit. Its height was two cubits. Its horns were of one piece with it.
26 He overlaid it with pure gold, its top, its sides around it, and its horns. He made a gold molding around it.
27 He made two golden rings for it under its molding crown, on its two ribs, on its two sides, for places for poles with which to carry it.
28 He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.

29
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Anointing Oil and the Incense. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, after the art of the perfumer.

1 Corinthians 4.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Stewards of the Mysteries of ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

So let a man think of us as Messiah’s servants, and stewards of ELOHIM’s mysteries.
2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man’s judgment. Yes, I don’t judge my own self.
4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is ADONAI.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until ADONAI comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from ELOHIM!

6
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Fools for Messiah's Sake. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now these things, brothers, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that in us you might learn not to think beyond the things which are written, that none of you be puffed up against one another.
7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
8 You are already filled. You have already become rich. You have come to reign without us. Yes, and I wish that you did reign, that we also might reign with you.
9 For, I think that ELOHIM has displayed us, the emissaries, last of all, like men sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.
10 We are fools for Messiah’s sake, but you are wise in Messiah. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.
11 Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.
12 We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.
13 Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Paul's Paternal Care. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

I don’t write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
15 For though you have ten thousand tutors in Messiah, yet not many fathers. For in Messiah YESHUA, I became your father through the Good News.
16 I beg you therefore, be imitators of me.
17 Because of this I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in ADONAI, who will remind you of my ways which are in Messiah, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.
19 But I will come to you shortly, if ADONAI is willing. And I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.
20 For the Kingdom of ELOHIM is not in word, but in power.
21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

Wednesday.  Day 4 before Shabbat - Parasha Vayakhel - And He Assembled
& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

Exodus 38:1-20, 1 Kings 7:40-50, 1 Corinthians 5.

Exodus 38:1-20.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Altar of Burnt Offering. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. It was square. Its length was five cubits, its breadth was five cubits, and its height was three cubits.
2 He made its horns on its four corners. Its horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with brass.
3 He made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the fire pans. He made all its vessels of brass.
4 He made for the altar a grating of a network of brass, under the ledge around it beneath, reaching halfway up.
5 He cast four rings for the four ends of brass grating, to be places for the poles.
6 He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with brass.
7 He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.

8
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Bronze Laver. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the basin of brass, and its base of brass, out of the mirrors of the ministering women who ministered at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

9
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Court of the Tabernacle. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the court: for the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, one hundred cubits;
10 their pillars were twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver.
11 For the north side one hundred cubits, their pillars twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.
12 For the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.
13 For the east side eastward fifty cubits.
14 The hangings for the one side were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three;
15 and so for the other side: on this hand and that hand by the gate of the court were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
16 All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen.
17 The sockets for the pillars were of brass. The hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver; and the overlaying of their capitals, of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.
18 The screen for the gate of the court was the work of the embroiderer, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. Twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, like to the hangings of the court.
19 Their pillars were four, and their sockets four, of brass; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their capitals, and their fillets, of silver.
20 All the pins of the tabernacle, and around the court, were of brass.

Haftarah:

1 Kings 7:40-50.

40 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Furnishings of the Temple. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Hiram made the basins, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he worked for king Solomon in the house of YHWH:
41 the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;
43 and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases;
44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;
45 and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of YHWH, were of burnished brass.
46 The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.
47 Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out.
48 Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of YHWH: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the show bread was, of gold;
49 and the menorahs, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50 and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.

Vayakhel (continued):

1 Corinthians 5.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Immorality Defiles the Assembly. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father’s wife.
2 You are puffed up, and didn’t rather mourn, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you.
3 For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing.
4 In the name of our ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our ADONAI YESHUA the Messiah,
5 are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of ADONAI YESHUA!
6 Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?
7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Messiah, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Immorality Must Be Judged. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners;
10 yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you would have to leave the world.
11 But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate
_ with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Don’t even eat with such a person.
12 For what have I to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are within?
13 But those who are outside, ELOHIM judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.”

& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

Exodus 38:21-end.,39, 1 Corinthians 6.

Pekudei:

Exodus 38:21-end.,39.

21 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Materials of the Tabernacle. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

This is the amount of material used for the tabernacle, even the Tabernacle of the Testimony, as they were counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.
22 Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that YHWH commanded Moses.
23 With him was Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a skillful workman, and an embroiderer in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen.
24 All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
25 The silver of those who were numbered of the congregation was one hundred talents, and one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:
26 a beka a head, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for everyone who passed over to those who were numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.
27 The one hundred talents of silver were for casting the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the veil; one hundred sockets for the one hundred talents, a talent for a socket.
28 Of the one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their capitals, and made fillets for them.
29 The brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand four hundred shekels.
30 With this he made the sockets to the door of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, all the vessels of the altar,
31 the sockets around the court, the sockets of the gate of the court, all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins around the court.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Garments of the Priesthood. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as YHWH commanded Moses.
2 He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3 They beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, in the purple, in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of the skillful workman.
4 They made shoulder straps for it, joined together. At the two ends it was joined together.
5 The skillfully woven band that was on it, with which to fasten it on, was of the same piece, like its work; of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; as YHWH commanded Moses.
6 They worked the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.
7 He put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel, as YHWH commanded Moses.

8
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Breastplate. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the breastplate, the work of a skillful workman, like the work of the ephod; of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9 It was square. They made the breastplate double. Its length was a span, and its breadth a span, being double.
10 They set in it four rows of stones. A row of ruby, topaz, and beryl was the first row;
11 and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;
12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
13 and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings.
14 The stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, everyone according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
15 They made on the breastplate chains like cords, of braided work of pure gold.
16 They made two settings of gold, and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
17 They put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
18 The other two ends of the two braided chains they put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, in its front.
19 They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
20 They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder straps of the ephod underneath, in its front, close by its coupling, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
21 They bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not come loose from the ephod, as YHWH commanded Moses.

22
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Making the Other Priestly Garments. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
23 The opening of the robe in its midst was like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.
24 They made on the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, scarlet, and twined linen.
25 They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates around the skirts of the robe, between the pomegranates;
26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, around the skirts of the robe, to minister in, as YHWH commanded Moses.
27 They made the coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
28 and the turban of fine linen, and the linen headbands of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen,
29 and the sash of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, the work of the embroiderer, as YHWH commanded Moses.
30 They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: “HOLY TO YHWH!”
31 They tied to it a lace of blue, to fasten it on the turban above, as YHWH commanded Moses.

32
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Work Completed. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting was finished. The children of Israel did according to all that YHWH commanded Moses; so they did.
33 They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent, with all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
34 the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, the covering of sea cow hides, the veil of the screen,
35 the ark of the testimony with its poles, the mercy seat,
36 the table, all its vessels, the show bread,
37 the pure menorah, its lamps, even the lamps to be set in order, all its vessels, the oil for the light,
38 the golden altar, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door of the Tent,
39 the bronze altar, its grating of brass, its poles, all of its vessels, the basin and its base,
40 the hangings of the court, its pillars, its sockets, the screen for the gate of the court, its cords, its pins, all the instruments of the service of the tabernacle, for the Tent of Meeting,
41 the finely worked garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.
42 According to all that YHWH commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.
43 Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it as YHWH had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

1 Corinthians 6.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Do Not Sue the Brethren. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to the courts before the unrighteous, and not before the holy ones?
2 Don’t you know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
4 If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?
5 I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?
6 But brother goes to the legal court with brother, and that before unbelievers!
7 Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have legalsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
8 No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.
9 Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of ELOHIM? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of ELOHIM!
11 Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of ADONAI YESHUA, and in the Spirit of our ELOHIM!

12
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Glorify ELOHIM in Body and Spirit. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“All things are legal for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are legal for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
13 “Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but ELOHIM will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for ADONAI; and ADONAI for the body.
14 Now ELOHIM raised up ADONAI, and will also raise us up by his power.
15 Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Messiah? Shall I then take the members of Messiah, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!
16 Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two,” says he, “will become one flesh.”
17 But he who is joined to ADONAI is one spirit.
18 Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
19 Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from ELOHIM? You are not your own,
20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify ELOHIM in your body and in your spirit, which are ELOHIM’s.

Friday.  Day 6 before Shabbat - Parasha Vayakhel - And He Assembled
& Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

Exodus 40, 1 Corinthians 7.,8.

Pekudei (continued):

Exodus 40.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Tabernacle Erected and Arranged. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
3 You shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.
4 You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the menorah, and light its lamps.
5 You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
6 “You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
7 You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.
8 You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
9 “You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture: and it will be holy.
10 You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar will be most holy.
11 You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.
12 “You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.
13 You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
14 You shall bring his sons, and put coats on them.
15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
16 Moses did so. According to all that YHWH commanded him, so he did.
17 It happened in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
18 Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
19 He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as YHWH commanded Moses.
20 He took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.
21 He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony, as YHWH commanded Moses.
22 He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside of the veil.
23 He set the bread in order on it before YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.
24 He put the menorah in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
25 He lit the lamps before YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.
26 He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
27 and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as YHWH commanded Moses.
28 He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
29 He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as YHWH commanded Moses.
30 He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.
31 Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
32 When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as YHWH commanded Moses.
33 He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

34
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. The Cloud and the Glory. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of YHWH filled the tabernacle.
35 Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and YHWH’s glory filled the tabernacle.
36 When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
37 but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of YHWH was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

1 Corinthians 7.,8.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Principles of Marriage. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
4 The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife.
5 Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
6 But this I say by way of concession, not of commandment.
7 Yet I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from ELOHIM, one of this kind, and another of that kind.
8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am.
9 But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn.

10
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Keep Your Marriage Vows. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

But to the married I command not I, but ADONAI that the wife not leave her husband
11 (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife.
12 But to the rest I not ADONAI say, if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is content
_ to live with him, let him not leave her.
13 The woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he is content
_ to live with her, let her not leave her husband.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
15 Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but ELOHIM has called us in peace.
16 For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

17
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Live as You Are Called. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Only, as ADONAI has distributed to each man, as ELOHIM has called each, so let him walk. So I command in all the assemblies.
18 Was anyone called having been circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.
19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of ELOHIM!
20 Let each man stay in that calling in which he was called.
21 Were you called being a bondservant? Don’t let that bother you, but if you get an opportunity to become free, use
_ it.
22 For he who was called in ADONAI being a bondservant is ADONAI’s free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Messiah’s bondservant.
23 You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men.
24 Brothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with ELOHIM!

25
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. To the Unmarried and Widows. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment from ADONAI, but I give my judgment as one who has obtained mercy from ADONAI to be trustworthy.
26 I think that it is good therefore, because of the distress that is on us, that it is good for a man to be as he is.
27 Are you bound to a wife? Don’t seek to be freed. Are you free from a wife? Don’t seek a wife.
28 But if you marry, you have not sinned. If a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have oppression in the flesh, and I want to spare you.
29 But I say this, brothers: the time is short, that from now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none;
30 and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess;
31 and those who use
_ the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.
32 But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of ADONAI, how he may please ADONAI;
33 but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.
34 There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of ADONAI, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world how she may please her husband.
35 This I say for your own profit; not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to ADONAI without distraction.
36 But if any man thinks that he is behaving inappropriately toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he desires. He doesn’t sin. Let them marry.
37 But he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own heart, to keep his own virgin, does well.
38 So then both he who gives his own virgin in marriage does well, and he who doesn’t give her in marriage does better.
39 A wife is bound by Torah (teaching and instruction) for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in ADONAI.
40 But she is happier if she stays as she is, in my judgment, and I think that I also have ELOHIM’s Spirit.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Be Sensitive to Conscience. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
2 But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.
3 But if anyone loves ELOHIM, the same is known by him.
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other ELOHIM but one.
5 For though there are things that are called “idol_gods,” whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many “idol_gods” and many “masters;”
6 yet to us there is one ELOHIM, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one ADONAI, YESHUA the Messiah, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
7 However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of the idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8 But food will not commend us to ELOHIM! For neither, if we don’t eat, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.
9 But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
10 For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
11 And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Messiah died.
12 Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Messiah.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forevermore, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble.

Saturday;  Shabbat - Parasha Vayakhel - And He Assembled &
Parasha Pekudei - Reckonings.

1 Corinthians 9.,10, .

Pekudei (continued):

1 Corinthians 9.,10.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. A Pattern of Self-Denial. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Am I not free? Am I not an emissary? Haven’t I seen YESHUA the Messiah, our ADONAI? Aren’t you my work in ADONAI?
2 If to others I am not an emissary, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my office of emissary in ADONAI.
3 My defense to those who examine me is this.
4 Have we no right to eat and to drink?
5 Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the emissaries, and the brothers of ADONAI, and Kefa?
6 Or have only Barnabas and I no right to not work?
7 What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn’t eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn’t drink from the flock’s milk?
8 Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn’t the Torah also say the same thing?
9 For it is written in the Torah of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that ELOHIM cares,
10 or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.
11 If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?
12 If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use
_ this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Messiah.
13 Don’t you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar?
14 Even so ADONAI ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.
15 But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.
16 For if I proclaim the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don’t proclaim the Good News.
17 For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.
18 What then is my reward? That, when I proclaim the Good News, I may present the Good News of Messiah without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.

\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Serving All Men. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the Torah (teaching and instruction), as under the Torah (teaching and instruction), that I might gain those who are under the Torah (teaching and instruction);
21 to those who are without Torah (teaching and instruction), as without Torah (teaching and instruction) (not being without Torah (teaching and instruction) toward ELOHIM, but under Torah (teaching and instruction) toward Messiah), that I might win those who are without Torah (teaching and instruction).
22 To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.
23 Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.

24
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Striving for a Crown. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win.
25 Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air,
27 but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

1 \Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Old Testament Examples. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 and were all immersed into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 and all ate the same spiritual food;
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Messiah.
5 However with most of them, ELOHIM was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
8 Neither let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
9 Neither let us test ADONAI, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
10 Neither grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.
13 No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. ELOHIM is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

14
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. Flee from Idolatry. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Messiah? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Messiah?
17 Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
18 Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
19 What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
20 But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to ELOHIM, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
21 You can’t both drink the cup of ADONAI and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of ADONAI, and of the table of demons.
22 Or do we provoke ADONAI to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

23
\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnestLOW”\. All to the Glory of ELOHIM. .\Vce=Speaker=“LeslieEarnest”\.

“All things are legal for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are legal for me,” but not all things build up.
24 Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
25 Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,
26 for “the earth is ADONAI’s, and its fullness.”
27 But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.
28 But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is ADONAI’s, and all its fullness.”
29 Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for that for which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of ELOHIM!
32 Give no occasions for stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of ELOHIM;
33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
