Lamentations 1:15-21,
Psalms 102:13-22.
Lamentations
1:15-21.
15 ADONAI has set at nothing all my
mighty men in the midst of me; He has
called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men: ADONAI has trodden as in a winepress the virgin
daughter of Judah.
16 For these things I weep; my eye, my eye runs
down with water; Because the comforter
who should refresh my soul is far from me:
My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed.
17 Zion spreads forth her hands; there is none
to comfort her; YHWH has commanded
concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries: Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.
18 YHWH is righteous; for I have rebelled
against his commandment: Please hear
all you peoples, and see my sorrow: My
virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
19 I called for my lovers, but they deceived
me: My priests and my elders gave up
the spirit in the city, While they
sought them food to refresh their souls.
20 See, YHWH; for I am in distress; my heart is
troubled; My heart is turned within me;
for I have grievously rebelled: Abroad
the sword bereaves, at home there is as death.
21 They have heard that I sigh; there is none
to comfort me; All my enemies have
heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: You will bring the day that you have
proclaimed, and they shall be like me.

But
The Most High transforms defeats into Victory:
Psalms
102:13-22.
13 You will arise and have mercy on
Zion; for it is time to have pity on
her. Yes, the set time has come.
14 For your servants take pleasure in her
stones, and have pity on her dust.
15 So the nations will fear the name of
YHWH; all the kings of the earth your
glory.
16 For YHWH has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.
17 He has responded to the prayer of the
destitute, and has not despised their
prayer.
18 This will be written for the generation to
come. A people which will be created
will praise YAH!
19 For he has looked down from the height of
his sanctuary. From heaven, YHWH saw
the earth;
20 to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death;
21 that men may declare the name of YHWH in
Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve YHWH!
